FAQ

We know what you’re thinking about our product. In fact, you’re probably not alone. Here are 5 of the most common questions we get asked about SMaSh:

1. Aren’t more people using their cell phones for phone apps than SMS?
Nope! Quite the opposite is true. According to one Pew Research study, SMS (80% of cell phone users) is more popular than internet use (56%), email (50%), and app use (43%). While more people might be joining the app trend, almost everyone continues to use their SMS service.

2. How likely are customers going to respond to text compared to other forms of advertising?
Mobile Marketing Advertising reports that people are more likely to respond and convert clients with texts (20%) than even direct mail or newspapers (each at 3%).

3. How often do people actually text?
In the second it took you to read that sentence, 200,000 texts were just sent around the world (ITU). By the end of today, over 6 billion texts are sent in the US alone, an increase of 14% from the previous year (Forrester Research).

4. What is different about the SMaSh approach to texting?
SMaSh has come up with a way to improve the SMS experience with our patent-pending SMaSh Mobile Application Server, the next generation in mobile development, capable of creating text-based apps that far exceed the SMS/MMS standard.

5. How much does it cost to use?
We only charge for those that want SMaSh to develop an app for their needs. Standard messaging and data rates may apply. To use SMaSh, all you have to do text a code to a five-digit number, and you’re on your way.
