The SMaSh App Server implements a complete, persistent session management layer over SMS. This session management layer allows text applications that resemble conversations to be developed. We refer to it as “cookies for mobile.”
Development Tools
The SMaSh platform provides development tools and documentation enabling fast design and launch of interactive text-messaging apps. Application developers use a subset of HTML, XML and HTTP specifications to build applications. Developers can reuse their existing knowledge of application servers, programming languages and investments in infrastructure.
Widgets
SMaSh offers developers plug-n-play functionality modules that we call widgets. Each widget encompasses a set of functionality you can use to build out the capabilities of your mobile app simply by “snapping” them into place.
